Our client, a fast growing Kids Apparel Company, is looking for a Design Director - Girls Special Occasion Dresses to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

Build brand identity and ensure product alignment with brand DNA and target market.
Conduct market research for product opportunities.
Direct product development across all brand classifications.
Manage timelines to meet style plans, client needs, and emerging trends.
Collaborate with overseas factories for accurate and budget-friendly samples.
Lead merchandising efforts, aligning assortments with market needs.
Innovate business processes and analyze sales performance for growth opportunities.

Requirements:

5+ years of Design/Merchandising experience in outerwear/swimwear.
Strong understanding of the girls' outerwear/swimwear market.
Proven track record in business growth and trend identification.
Ability to manage projects from concept to execution.
Collaborative work style and excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with off-price, mass market, and department store landscapes.
