Area Manager - Georgetown D.C.

A retail apparel/fashion brand is looking for an Area Manager to join their team! The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with proven multi-unit management experience, adept at hands-on supervision and effective communication with store managers and other stakeholders. They possess strong organizational skills and flexibility to manage a varied schedule, ensuring operational excellence while prioritizing employee development and optimizing the customer experience across multiple locations.

Job Detail:

ON-SITE: Georgetown Washington, DC

PAY: $75K-$85K/year + monthly bonuses & profit sharing

Direct Hire: Full-Time

Responsibilities:
•Oversee operations and performance of multiple retail stores within assigned area.
•Provide hands-on support and coverage as needed, demonstrating a willingness to assist with store operations and tasks.
•Minimize communication and operational tasks to prioritize employee training and enhance the customer experience within store teams.
•Implement monthly floorset changes, refresh windows and mannequins weekly, and maintain consistent visual and merchandising standards across all stores.
•Create customized and comprehensive development plans tailored to the skills and varied levels of experience within your leadership team.
•Supervise and guide store managers, ensuring they are equipped to effectively manage day-to-day activities.
•Execute new hire onboardings, conducting regular weekly check-ins, hosting monthly staff meetings, and establishing quarterly development plans.
•Maintain open communication with other stores, Territory Managers and headquarters to facilitate collaboration and alignment.
•Embrace a leadership style that values autonomy, adaptability, and a hands-on approach.
•Manage a flexible schedule that includes weekend availability and occasional time off, balancing workload to meet operational needs within a standard workweek.

Qualifications:
•Must be able to work on-site in Georgetown Washington, DC.
•3+ years of experience in retail leadership roles, preferably as an Area or Regional Manager.
•Proven experience in overseeing multiple retail locations, demonstrating the ability to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives across different stores.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for managing administrative tasks such as report creation, sales analysis, and presentation development.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to manage a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional time off, while ensuring operational needs are met efficiently within a standard workweek.
