HR Associate – Transformative Nonprofit University
A Nonprofit University in San Francisco that focuses on transformative, integral education is seeking an HR Associate to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting and on-boarding, HR operational issues, HRIS maintenance, employee relations support, and more. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who is excited about building their experience within the Human Resources space.
This is a contract opportunity with the potential to extend with the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support to all employees and clinic supervisors
- Support the recruiting process by conducting phone screenings and initial interviews, creating offer letters, assisting with on-boarding, sourcing candidates, and managing candidates in the ATS
- Work closely with the HR Specialist, Generalist, and Director of Human Resources on the full spectrum of people-related issues
- Assist with the integration and implementation of Ellucian HR system
- Ensure legal compliance in employment practices including FLSA, state, and local laws
- Provide assistance to the HR Payroll Specialist and HR Directors in employment, compliance, and compensation
- Recommend HR operations and services improvements; provide input on new systems and procedures
- Handle HR training processes and procedures; lead various HR projects, events, and trainings
- Maintain an accurate and organized HRIS database; pull reports when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3+ years of employment experience in HR; non-profit sector is a plus
- 1 year of recruiting experience highly desirable
- Experience with HRIS software such as Paycom or ADP
- Proficient in MS Office
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Extremely organized and attentive to detail
- Ability to handle confidential matter with discretion and integrity
- Strong follow through with the ability to complete assigned tasks under minimal supervision
