Instructional Designer

Our client, a high-end fashion brand, is looking for an Instruction Designer to work as a consultant on a freelance basis alongside their Jersey City, NJ team. You will develop and design eLearning, video and digital content to train global staff. This is a six-month long temporary opportunity to support education, development, and leadership teams at a global brand with huge impact. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of strong corporate instructional design experience, ideally within fashion, luxury, or retail industries. 

 

Please note, this role is temporarily remote due to COVID-19. 

 

About the role:

• Develop engaging and interactive digital content to be delivered via an online, internal training program
• Create engaging content which includes narration, animations, virtual reality,  gamification, role plays, video content, and knowledge assessments as needed
• Deliver an impactful and instructionally sound adult learning experience
• Make SCORM based learning content using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Captivate and Camtasia.
• Create storyboards, scripts and manage all aspects of video pre and post-production including video and audio recording and editing.
• Focus on impact measurement and ROI via training program data collection and analysis.

 

About you:

• You have at least 3-5 years of strong corporate experience in instructional design
• You have a degree in instructional design, adult learning, education technology, or related.
• You are familiar with the fashion, luxury, and retail industries
• You are proficient in eLearning content creation tools (Articulate, Captivate) and video/audio editing software
• You have skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily within Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator
• You have strong graphic design skills and a contemporary aesthetic
• You understand adult learning theory and understand how to design training modules to support corporate training
• You are an expert communicator with skills in project management
