Men’s Buyer – Fashion Brand

A Popular Fashion Brand based in California is looking for a Men’s Buyer to join their team! In this role you will aid the team in identifying, selecting and managing the merchandising programs for their specific classes. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this is a key role in supporting purchase decisions, sales growth, brand management, planning, allocation, design and product development. 

 

The Men’s Buyer position is an ASAP 6-month contract need that may occasionally require the selected candidate to go into their Anaheim office on an as needed basis.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and margins through vendor communication, internal design and product development
• Present new strategies and opportunities for sales and profits
• Manage the P.O. system, deliveries, and orders.
• Attend branded vendors meetings, participate in the Private Label, and Product Development process as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (in related field preferred)
• 3-5+ years retail buying experience in either specialty store or department store
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and as a team member
• Task driven and pro-active when it comes to executing tasks
• Understating of retail math calculations such as gross margin, open to buy calculations, initial markup calculations, turnover etc.
