Account Executive - Kids Apparel

Our client, a growing children’s apparel company, is seeking an Account Executive to join the team in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand business within the existing account base and generate new business by attracting and nurturing new clients.
  • Establish and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans for each account, including seasonal targets and three-year growth strategies.
  • Oversee the achievement of sales volume and margin goals through regular analysis of business performance (daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal).
  • Lead, train, and mentor the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to meet their targets.
  • Manage inventory levels to maintain a healthy balance that supports sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and senior management at key accounts, collaborating closely to grow the business.
  • Identify emerging trends and inventory risks, strategizing to mitigate potential issues.
  • Develop and present comprehensive strategies to drive business growth.


Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Excellent leadership, sales, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Must have relationships with buyers in girls' and boys' apparel
  • Must have the ability to build strong relationships. Mass, off-price, Club and department store channels are preferred
  • Ability to work in the NYC office full-time
  • In-depth understanding of apparel, with a focus on childrenswear
  • Meticulous and well-organized
  • Strong skills in writing, speaking, interpersonal communication, and delivering presentations; capable of clearly explaining trends, outcomes, and strategies based on data analysis
  • Resourceful, motivated, and hands-on in managing projects and timelines
