Sleepwear + Intimates Designer

Our client, a wholesale intimates brand, is seeking a Sleepwear + Intimates Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

• Lead the conceptualization and creation of innovative and trend-setting ladies intimates designs, aligning with the company's brand image and catering to off-price market consumers.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of off-price market dynamics and the specific requirements of retailers like Ross, Burlington, TJX, etc., staying abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of design concepts from inception to production, collaborating with retailers to adapt designs to meet market demands.
• Utilize industry-standard design tools to create detailed sketches, tech packs, and other necessary documentation for the production team, providing technical guidance for accurate realization of design concepts.
• Implement and maintain quality standards for ladies intimates, conducting regular quality assessments and providing feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:‍

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ladies intimates design, with a focus on the off-price market, and a proven track record of collaboration with major off-price retailers.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), strong understanding of garment construction, fabric, and manufacturing processes, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
