Technical Designer - Women's

Our client, a fast-growing Apparel Company, is looking for a Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

• Measure fit, pre-production, and TOP samples.
• Engage in fit sessions with the team and support implementation.
• Resolve any issues related to construction or workmanship.
• Offer insights on fit, fabrics, and trims to achieve the desired aesthetics.
• Develop tech packs for vendors that cover development, costing, and production details.
• Provide vendors with grading information to streamline production.
• Help with the organization of samples and fabrics.
• Work closely with Design, Sourcing, and Production teams to develop cost-effective styles
• Build effective relationships with design, merchandising, and sales teams.
• Collaborate with private label accounts to achieve optimal fit.

Qualifications:‍

• Degree in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising.
• Over 5 years of experience in Juniors/Women’s apparel.
• Expertise in sewing construction, patternmaking, garment manufacturing, and fabrics.
• Proficient in apparel fitting, specifications, and pattern corrections, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, urgency, eagerness to learn, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
