Estate Manager/Director of Residences

A high-net-worth family office is seeking a Director of Residences to manage the household operations management for the family's residential portfolio, which includes 3 primary residences in the US, based in NYC.   This is a collaborative, hands-on role in an evolving single-family office.

Salary commensurate with experience: $150-225k base + discretionary bonus and fully paid medical, dental, vision for individual employee

Location: NYC based – this role will be a mix of onsite work at the residences (NYC, Hamptons & Colorado) and remote work.  Quarterly trips to each residence will be required, including occasional advance travel

Responsibilities include:
-Create and maintain systems and processes that ensure each property is properly managed.  
-Manage multiple direct reports, numerous vendors, and contractors supporting household services at all properties, to ensure properties are properly maintained, systems are in good working order, and capital projects are well managed.
-The role will involve coordination with the Principals’ Assistants, outsourced Property Managers, and the rest of the Family Office team.
-Residence Management -developing procedures and checklists for each property, household inventories, security, maintenance, vehicles, etc
-Event Planning – partnering with contractors and assist in planning and seamless execution of events
-Staff Management – proactively manage staffing needs, scheduling, training, and management/direct supervision of staff

Qualifications:
-5-10 years’ experience in managing a private household environment with high accountability levels, relevant experience in a personal assistant or estate management type role, or transferable experience in hotel management.
-Experience managing staff, directing travel, hospitality, event, and entertaining.
-Comfortable with Mac computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Flexibility to travel as needed and comfortable with a non-traditional work schedule.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills along with strong confidentiality and discretion
