Technical Designer

Our client, a leading Contemporary Women’s brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Design and Production teams to ensure effective communication with all factories.
Prioritize daily and seasonal workload based on fabric/garment delivery, meeting weekly and seasonal deadlines.
Attend initial Design handoffs for new products, complete proto specs, and update Product for SMS launch.
Interface with overseas factories to convey fit and construction corrections.
Spec & prep garments prior to fitting, and take on additional projects as needed.

Requirements:

8-10 years of Technical Design Experience in a SKU intensive environment.
6+ years of experience in soft dressing technical design and pattern making.
Experience in Women's RTW ; Sportswear & Dresses a plus
Strong knowledge of pattern making, grading, garment construction, sewing, technical drawing, measuring, and fitting.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office & G-Suite.
Strong sense of urgency, expert time management skills, and excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in RLM system and print design is preferred.
