Senior Shoe Designer

Our client, a wholesale girls apparel brand, is looking for a Senior Shoe Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design print patterns for shoes and related footwear items.
• Develop, execute, and oversee artistic concepts and designs for shoe collections.
• Provide valuable feedback and approvals on strike-offs and art designs to the Product Assurance team.
• Coordinate materials and standards for seasonal development.
• Design line elements, create sales tools, and develop presentation materials as required.
• Conduct market research to identify shoe trends, analyze competitive data, and establish key objectives for the footwear brand.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, and Brand Management teams to conceptualize and launch lines across various distribution levels.
• Manage the overall shoe design process to ensure alignment with style plans, sales requirements, and emerging trends.
• Maintain accuracy in line sheets, production logs, and design catalogs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to curate showrooms for seasonal market presentations

Qualifications:

• ‍‍Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry, with a strong focus on shoe design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and develop a team of Assistant/Associate Shoe Designers.
• Aesthetic alignment with the brand's shoe design ethos, with a keen eye for shoe trends and market demands.
