Assistant General Manager

Our client, a luxury fashion retailer, is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) in their Roosevelt Field, NY location! The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the General Manager and ensure the day-to-day store operations and achieved. You will deliver a memorable customer shopping experience and drive the engagement of the store workforce.

Essential Functions:
• Foster a customer-centric store culture by advocating for necessary enhancements to enhance the in-store customer experience.
• Opportunities (such as trends, vendors, classifications, and events) alongside leadership and central merchants.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer care, actively participating in and spearheading the execution of top customer strategies.
• Implement merchant strategies tailored to the store's customer base, ensuring appropriate localization and advocacy.
• Establish clear leadership expectations and hold teams accountable for results, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Serve as an active coach, providing continual feedback and guidance, while nurturing a robust managerial pipeline for future leadership roles.
• Effectively communicate priorities and pertinent business information to ensure alignment and enable leadership to capitalize on opportunities.
• Foster store associate engagement by assembling teams dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, promoting a culture of learning and development, and delivering consistent feedback to enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with leadership to oversee store-driven aspects of profit and loss, encompassing store payroll, non-payroll expenses, and shortage management.
• Utilize data analysis and field insights to pinpoint and leverage key business

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university, with at least 5 years of direct experience.
• Above-average mathematical skills, including proficiency in computing rates, ratios, percentages, and working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Possesses strong critical thinking abilities and a strategic mindset, demonstrated through the implementation of multifaceted retail strategies that support and drive business outcomes.
• Demonstrates a robust leadership profile, business acumen, and a customer service orientation, with a proven track record of influencing within a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule based on department and company requirements, along with consistent attendance and punctuality.
