Senior Technical Designer - Kids Apparel

Our client, a kid's apparel brand, is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join their team on a temp to perm basis! You would be responsible for seeing through all technical design from the development to production stages.


Responsibilities:‍

• Initiate Prototype Tech Packs and follow through for all fit Tech Packs including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs and pictures.
• Measure/ review protos/ fit/ PP/ TOP samples for construction and measurement accuracy an overall aesthetics.
• Conduct fit sessions: Take notes and photos of the required corrections on fit and construction and send them to the in-house pattern team or overseas vendor.
• Complete departmental projects such as comparison spec projects, store floor sample review, etc.
• Complete other tasks within the Technical Dept.‍

Qualifications:‍

• Bachelor’s degree (in related field a plus though not necessary).
• 10+ years technical design experience in retail garment industry, including knowledge of knits and wovens.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Illustrator, and PLM.
• Kids experience and pattern making a plus
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Positive attitude and be a team player.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
