Senior Production Designer

A consumer retail kitchenware and home furnishing company is looking for a Senior Production Designer proficient in artwork creation, packaging mock-up, workflow coordination, innovation in branding, technical guideline management, and process optimization to enhance production efficiency and meet project deadlines effectively.

Job Details

ON-SITE: On-Site 4 days a week in San Francisco, Friday Remote

PAY: $40-$55/hr

TEMP TO HIRE

Responsibilities:
•Generate artwork and finalize pre-press artwork following style guides, templates, and feedback from the design team.
•Evaluate the accuracy of vendor-provided dielines and skillfully mock-up packaging for executive reviews.
•Adapt to verbal direction, adhere to instructions, and remain open to changes.
•Coordinate workflow for each packaging request, from artwork creation to proofing, final artwork submission, and blue line approval.
•Demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities and proficient problem-solving skills.
•Exhibit strong multitasking abilities, exceptional time management, and capacity to work effectively under pressure.
•Foster innovation and collaboration within the team to adjust branding, including training packaging designers to maintain standards.
•Maintain and update technical information in the PB Brand Packaging Brand Guidelines, ensuring it serves as a comprehensive training resource.
•Understand and respond to business needs for each project, collaborating with senior team members to make informed decisions.
•Regularly review packaging templates for accuracy and align with the creative direction for new branding initiatives.
•Develop and optimize processes and workflows to enhance production efficiency.
•Provide weekly project status updates to senior management, identifying progress and proposing solutions for outstanding issues or process enhancements.
•Available on-site during core department hours and extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

•A bachelor's degree in a similar/relative field.
•8-10+ years of experience in production with 3+ years of agency related production experience.
•3-5+ years of packaging experience.
•Proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe CC, MS Office, PLM systems, Asana and FileMaker.
•Robust analytical abilities.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Proficient time management capabilities, adept at setting priorities and adapting to changes.
•Previous experience collaborating with translation agencies considered advantageous.
