Senior Technical Designer - Walmart

Our client, a fast growing Apparel Company, is looking for a Senior Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!


Responsibilities:‍

• Manage the entire product lifecycle from design concept to production approval
• Collaborate with the design team to update measurements and specifications in technical documents
• Evaluate garment samples for accuracy in specifications, pattern shape, and construction
• Communicate effectively with overseas offices and vendors to address garment construction issues
• Work closely with Design, Sourcing, and Production teams to develop cost-effective styles
• Lead and conduct fit sessions, providing detailed feedback and instructions
• Approve garments for production or schedule follow-up fit sessions as needed
• Maintain an organized log of incoming samples and measurements

Qualifications:‍

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical design or related field
• Off-price apparel experience required; knowledge of sweater knitting and construction preferred
• Proficient in apparel fitting, specifications, and pattern corrections
• Strong skills in PLM, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Independent worker with excellent time management skillsExceptional communication and collaboration abilities across departments and with external partners
