Accounting Manager - Single Family Office

Our client, a single family office is hiring for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be an integral part of the Family Office in supervising, monitoring and evaluating the accounting activities for the organization. The position is essentially an assistant CFO.

Salary range: $150k-200k base DOE + bonus, please submit resume with comp expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting per GAAP.
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, billing, timekeeping, and cash receipts for multiple entities.
  • Direct preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and government reports.
  • Manage monthly/year-end close, GL accuracy, and bank/brokerage reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams, including household staff, tax advisors, and bankers.
  • Prepare construction and project budget summaries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 12+ years in accounting, including AP/AR and general ledger management, ideally in a family office.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP; skilled in Excel and Bill.com (Expensify a plus).
  • Google Workspace proficiency preferred; experience with aviation, yacht, and construction accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure with flexibility and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism, able to handle confidential issues discreetly.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adherence to COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
  • U.S. work authorization; subject to background check.
