Product Development Coordinator

A luxury home textile manufacturing company is seeking a temp-to-hire Product Development Coordinator to join their team.

What you’ll do:

  • Acts as liaison between Design and Production teams for daily needs.
  • Manages project calendars and timelines to ensure critical deadlines are met and reports issues at weekly meetings
  • Responsible for overall project execution after Design approval.
  • Creates and maintains tech packs with the Design team.
  • Analyzes sample costing versus initial costs and tech pack details.
  • Reviews first samples with Design and Production teams for quality.
  • Resolves issues during the product lifecycle as needed.
  • Analyzes fabric and trim requirements and advises management on POs.
  • Costs final product designs for private label or wholesale customers.
  • Collaborates with Design team on production specifications.
  • Maintains supplier relationships and negotiates terms and pricing.
  • Assists with researching market trends and additional projects as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 3-5 years in apparel manufacturing or product development.
  • Proficient in Excel, Illustrator and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • ERP or inventory management experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and possesses excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communicator with negotiating skills: i.e. finding competitive pricing for materials and goods.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to prioritize and adapt.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
