Admissions Assistant

A Healthcare Organization is looking for an Admissions Assistant to join them on a temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will act as a friendly resource to clients and their families by assisting with collecting, organizing, and presenting information to ensure a smooth admission process. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families by introducing them to the many programs the organization offers.


Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm(PST)

Location: Remote, LA or OC - required on-site for training in Irvine, CA


Responsibilities:

  • Guide visitors, clients, and their families through the admissions process.
  • Answer phones, assist with inquiries, and inform callers of the program and services offered as needed.
  • Engage with clients and families and act as a comforting and supportive resource throughout the admissions process.
  • Process paperwork and other documentation in a timely manner to ensure all records are correct and up to date.
  • Exemplify a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.


Experience:

  • Previous clerical/admissions experience in healthcare, specifically managing the insurance verification process is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bilingual preferred.
