Senior Accountant - UHNW Family Office

A Family Office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team and spearhead cost management for the entire organization. This role will be an integral part of the Family Office in support.

Compensation range: $110k-125k base salary

Responsibilities:

• Various reporting for multiple Principal-owned entities
• Review of Accounts Payable work of external accountants, assisting when necessary
• Reconciliation of bank and brokerage statements
• Work closely with internal and external staff, including household staff, tax accountants, bankers and insurance brokers
• Assist in various special projects related to the operations of the Company
• Liaising with staff for collection of time information or detail related to payroll reconciliation and accounting entries
• Assist with balance sheet and income statement reconciliations along with budget to actual variance analysis
• Prepare construction and project budgets summaries
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, with 7+ years in public accounting, including general ledger management and AP/AR experience in a family office.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel and Bill.com; familiarity with Expensify and Google Suite preferred.
• Knowledge of aviation, yacht, or construction accounting is helpful.
• Quick to learn new technologies; strong skills in prioritizing and focusing in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to shifting deadlines, with strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient, reliable, and proactive; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, positive approach with integrity and creative problem-solving.
• Responsive outside standard business hours and open to direct feedback.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and willingness to travel as needed.
• Adheres to COVID-19 vaccination policy; authorized to work in the US, with ability to pass a background check.
