Chargeback Specialist

Our client, a wholesale apparel brand, is seeking a diligent and experienced Chargeback Specialist to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

  • Research and dispute invalid customer chargebacks that come in via customer portals or e-mail. Ensure all disputes are properly logged and tracked for resolution.
  • Contact the appropriate internal departments to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. Work closely with departments to gather necessary documentation and information for successful chargeback resolutions.
  • Log into customer portals to access detailed payment and chargeback information, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to records.
  • Log into the Factor Portal daily to monitor payment and chargeback statuses, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting.
  • Identify and write off valid discounts and deductions in line with company policies.
  • Provide support to the collections team when disputes cannot be resolved through the Factor Portal, ensuring efficient and accurate collections processes.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and procedures related to chargeback disputes and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience dealing with chargebacks, particularly from Burlington and Macy’s.
  • Previous experience working with Simparel/Exenta/Aptean is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Ability to navigate and log into various customer and factor portals.
  • Knowledge of chargeback and payment processing protocols.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.


$65,000-$75,000 commensurate of experience
