Paralegal

Our client a Global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Associate, Paralegal within Mutual Fund division

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm w/ flexibility for OT as requested

Location: New York, NY

*Hybrid schedule, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Pay range and compensation package: $80,000- $100,000 base salary (dependent on experience) + OT (non exempt position) + discretionary bonus + strong benefits and perks

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information in compliance with the SEC for various funds within the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.

Responsibilities:‍

• Review and draft routine legal documents and fund registration documents along with reviewing contracts
• Review SEC filings of funds and handle EDGAR filings
• Create and maintain case files and prepare, assemble, and distribute Board materials for regular Board meetings
• Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders as well as, tracking new laws, regulations and industry developments
• Conduct legal research, prepare, and file corporate governance forms in accordinance with the NYSE

Qualifications:‍

• 2 - 4+ years of Paralegal experience
• Experience in a law firm, ideally with mutual fund legal or compliance
• Bachelor's degree required
• Knowledge of Investment Company Act of 1940, Investment Advisors of 1940, and Securities Act of 1933 strong preferred
• Strong anaytical, project management, and leadership skills required
• Exceptional organizational and written and oral communication skills required
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
• Detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to work independently as well as with a team
