Product Development Manager
Our client, an apparel manufacturing brand, is seeking a Product Development Manager to join their team in NYC!
$70,000-$110,000 commensurate of experience
Full time in office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive trend research to identify industry movements, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies.
- Develop creative concepts based on trends, incorporating design elements, messaging, and brand positioning for new product ideas and marketing strategies.
- Perform market analysis to evaluate competitor landscapes and ensure product alignment with consumer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and product development teams to implement concepts and oversee their execution from ideation to completion.
- Conduct store and market analysis, including retail visits and online research, to gather inspiration and assess competitor products.
- Present creative concepts and strategic initiatives to stakeholders, using clear and impactful communication skills.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product development or a related role, ideally in consumer goods, retail, or fashion industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with PLM systems or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of design principles, including color theory, typography, and layout.
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in store and competitor analysis is a plus.
