Kids Designer - Boys
Our client, an established apparel company, is seeking a Kids Designer (Boys) to join their team in New York.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and oversee the development of the boys line from inception to the finished product, based on market and trend analysis, with direction from the Design Director.
- Collaborate closely with all relevant teams to implement product vision and technical specifications.
- Manage the development process to ensure product quality during mass production.
- Conduct market research for both competitive insights and creative inspiration.
- Create and relay tech packs to the Technical Design team.
- Develop BOMs for all items and manage any necessary updates throughout the development process.
- Follow and comply with the seasonal development timeline.
- Oversee fabric and artwork approvals to ensure consistent quality and execution.
- Generate and maintain line sheets and design visual references.
- Participate in all cross-departmental meetings, addressing and resolving product development challenges.
Qualifications:
- Degree in fashion design or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in the relevant classification/category.
- Strong knowledge of childrenswear requirements.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience in PLM software is a bonus.
- High work ethic and integrity.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in office full time.
