Sales Assistant/Junior Account Executive
Our client, a women’s contemporary brand based in NYC, is seeking a Sales Assistant/Junior Account Executive to support and drive growth within their wholesale division. This role will focus on overseeing both major accounts (such as Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, etc.) and specialty stores. The ideal candidate will assist in executing wholesale brand strategy, promoting the brand, and maximizing sales across designated accounts.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Support and help grow relationships with both new and existing accounts, with a primary focus on Major and Specialty accounts.
- Provide actionable recommendations to buyers to drive business growth in their respective stores.
- Contribute to the growth of top-line sales and gross margin in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop and execute strategies for sales growth.
- Work alongside planners on seasonal budgets and profitability targets, ensuring objectives are being met.
- Project sales and manage future inventory needs.
- Plan retail events in coordination with the retail teams to drive engagement and incentivize staff.
- Analyze weekly sales reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with customer service to ensure wholesale orders are efficiently managed and shipped.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a sales or account management role, with experience overseeing Major and Specialty accounts preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience in the women’s contemporary apparel industry.
- Established relationships with both major and specialty retail accounts.
- Strong understanding of brand development, multichannel marketing, and industry competition.
- Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in retail math and advanced Excel.
- Highly organized with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment when working with clients.
- Resourceful, proactive, and a strong team player.
