Senior Tech Designer - Women's/Kids

Our established leading mass market manufacturer and distributor of women's, juniors, and kids fashion apparel, is seeking an experienced, tech savvy and detail-oriented candidate to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:‍

• Oversee fitting sessions for ladies' & girls' apparel for feedback and adjustments
• Apply knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, grading, and factory production
• Create and maintain accurate garment specifications, effectively communicate fit and construction details
• Collaborate team to update measurements and specifications for tech packs
• Track and follow up on fit and pre-production approvals for timely delivery
• Ensure technical issues that may arise during production are taken care of
• Use in-depth knowledge of fabric and trims to ensure compatibility
• Sustain strong written and verbal communication with internal teams and external vendors

Qualifications:
‍

• B.A. in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Technical Design or a related field
• 7+ years of experience working in apparel design for mass markets
• Proven experience in garment construction, fashion design, and technical specifications
• Expertise in fitting, pattern making, and grading
• Advanced skills in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word. Proficiency in PLM systems required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively share technical information
• High attention to detail, ensuring that specifications, measurements, and construction details are accurate and comprehensive.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
