Designer - Contemporary Womenswear

Our client, a contemporary womenswear brand, is looking for a Designer to join their team in New York!

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with Creative Director to develop line plans
-Develop seasonal concepts
-Conduct market research
-Lead fittings
-Create fabric boards, sketches, CADs, tech packs, and illustrations
-Manage and create BOM
-Communicate with factories and oversee lab dip submissions
-Sample management


Qualifications:

-5+ years of womenswear design experience, outerwear experience highly preferred
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail
-Strong understanding of materials, fabrics, trims, etc.
-Factory communication experience
-Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
