Packaging Designer

Our client, a wholesale home goods, beauty and accessory company, is seeking a Packaging Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

• Create and organize product artwork, dielines, and templates for packaging production.
• Design packaging that aligns with brand guidelines and communicates product value.
• Develop engaging product copy that highlights key features and benefits.
• Support packaging testing and evaluate prototypes to ensure performance, durability, and design accuracy prior to production.
• Communicate with overseas factories for artwork approvals and packaging development.
• Participate in customer meetings alongside sales and merchandising teams.
• Create trend boards and visual sales tools to support merchandising efforts.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor packaging, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
  

Qualifications:‍

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• 1-4+ years of packaging experience
• Strong experience with logo design, dielines, typography, color, print production, image selection, and complex package structural design
• Knowledge with packaging testing and validation.
• Skilled in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong ability to create compelling and concise product descriptions.
• Highly meticulous with a sharp eye for aesthetics.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting and meeting deadlines consistently.

$70k-$100k depending on experience

This role is full time in office, 5 days a week.
