Senior Fund Accountant

Our client, a prestigious private equity firm on the west side of LA, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant. This role involves managing fund accounting tasks, including financial reconciliations, quarterly reporting, and capital call/distribution calculations. You'll also handle investor communications, assist with audits and tax work, and support special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with various accounting duties for investment funds, as detailed below.
• Collaborate with management on special projects, including process documentation and conducting additional analyses when required.
• Generate and prepare capital account statements for both investors and funds on a quarterly basis.
• Produce quarterly closing financial packages for the fund.
• Review and reconcile financial transactions, including cash and asset reconciliations. Address discrepancies based on pre-established thresholds.
• Prepare detailed investor capital call/distribution letters and related statements.
• Work alongside external accountants and internal teams on annual audits and tax-related tasks.
• Regularly update and maintain sub-ledgers and general ledgers on a daily, monthly, and quarterly schedule.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from investors and management.
• Calculate and review management fees, with an emphasis on Geneva outputs for interest, PIK, OID, and corporate actions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in either public accounting or within the investment management or financial services sector.
• Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with various teams.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and general ledger software (Advent Geneva experience is a plus).
• CPA certification is an added advantage.
