Technical Designer - Knitwear

Our client, a luxury American fashion brand, is looking for a dependable Technical Designer specializing in knitwear to join their team in Anaheim on a temp-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities:
- Create technical packages that include garment measurements, specifications, construction details, and fit notes in PLM for all knitwear styles.
- Work with production specs to ensure accurate sizing and work with inhouse grader for final production graded specs.
- Possess a strong understanding of knitwear construction techniques, such as stitch types, machinery, and fabrics.
- Oversee knitwear garment fit during sample stages, identify / address fit issues, and make adjustments.
- Ensure that the finished product meets quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with knitwear designers to understand their vision and transform it into a technically feasible garment.
- Work closely with pattern and sample makers to ensure accurate pattern creation and sample production.
- Communicate with factories (domestic and overseas) to address production issues, ensure quality, and manage timelines.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of knitwear technical experience.
- A college level degree in Design.
- Experience with a luxury women’s brand.
- Efficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Photo Shop and Illustrator.
- Experience with PLM software Backbone/Bamboo Rose preferred but not necessary.
