"Candidates can take a look at the sectors in need of talent and invest in upskilling to bridge the gap," says Susan Levine, CEO of Career Group Companies. Highlighting the growing demand in finance roles for 2024, she points to positions in private equity, hedge funds, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate finance.
Levine tells BESTLIFE growing need for managers, especially in consumer product goods, and the rise in professional executive search roles, including Director of Operations and HR positions. "The market is strong from the recruiting industry standpoint," she adds.
She emphasizes the importance of resume tenure: “It’s hard to convince someone today to hire you when you've gone from job to job. Employers want to trust your judgment.” Niche skills are becoming more valuable than generalist experience.
