Career Group Companies’ CEO Susan Levine Talks New Market Trend Report, Inclusive Hiring In Interview

"More than two-thirds of respondents—69%—would decline or consider declining a position if it lacked flexibility over working from home," says Susan Levine, founder and CEO of Career Group Companies. The firm's Mid-Year Market Trend Report highlights the evolving needs of job seekers, emphasizing how remote work and AI are shaping the hiring landscape.
"People are adaptable when it comes to on-site work, but flexible arrangements remain a key factor in decision-making," Levine explains. She clarifies that remote work "doesn’t always mean working from home," but rather having the autonomy to choose where one is most productive—whether that’s from home, a coffee shop, or another location.
Another key takeaway? The growing role of AI in job applications. "Nearly a third—32%—of participants report using technology in this manner," Levine shares. This trend reflects a "growing reliance" on AI not just for convenience, but for accessibility. From auto-filling applications to assisting candidates with disabilities, AI is proving to be a tool for efficiency rather than a shortcut.
With insights from over 200 recruiting experts and extensive candidate data, Career Group Companies' latest report offers valuable guidance for both employers and job seekers navigating the ever-changing job market.
