"You have to be an organization that’s actively interested in promoting women into executive roles," says Susan Levine, founder and CEO of Career Group Companies. "You can’t be an old-school culture or there isn’t going to be progression."
Levine emphasizes that real change starts with company culture. "Organizations need to be intentional about supporting and mentoring women if they want to see them in leadership," she says. Without this commitment, the gender gap at the top will only widen.
