Client Advisor and Relationship Manager

Our confidential client, an Independent Registered Investment Advisory firm based in El Segundo, California, is seeking a Senior Advisor / Director for a client-facing relationship management role.

The firm serves high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals and families. The Senior Advisor / Director will manage the advisory and estate planning needs of a subset of HNW and UHNW clients, ensuring a high level of service through delegation and collaboration with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a subset of HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership, client service teams, and clients to manage advisory, estate planning, governance, and service needs.
  • Assist clients with estate planning while coordinating with colleagues on investment management and service needs.
  • Stay current on estate planning regulations and industry trends.
  • Lead client discussions and collaborate with third-party professionals on planning, reporting, and investment management.
  • Interact with third-party portfolio managers on transactions, valuations, and financial statements.
  • Draft and present internal and client-facing guidance on investment processes and planning.
  • Assist with operational and regulatory compliance projects.
  • Mentor junior team members in client service and professional development.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of recent experience, particularly in trusts, estates, and planning software
  • Experience with multi-generational clients in real estate, private equity, or complex investments is beneficial.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting, along with a CFP license; additional credentials such as an MBA or estate planning/investment licenses are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
  • High sense of accountability and dedication to client needs.
