Product Development and Sourcing Associate - Intimates

Our client, an emerging luxury intimates and loungewear brand is seeking a Product Development and Sourcing Associate. The Production Associate will manage and support multiple areas of the product innovation development organization

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Materials & Trims:

  • To assist in sourcing and development of new raw material and trims, including all submit approvals from development through production, also maintaining all hard files/libraries, to include lead-time, technical specs, and cost information.

Communication and Information:

  • You will send out all completed tech pack information to each supplier, own the product development tracker, communicating with suppliers on a daily basis on any changes, following up on outstanding information both internally and externally, keeping the senior team updated on a weekly/daily basis if needed.
  • Assist our senior team in ensuring all cost logs are updated based on any product changes made throughout the E2E development process.
  • Coordinate package deliveries and organize samples promptly, track all samples being created and delivered by our supply base.

Technical and Innovation:

  • Work together with the technical design team, booking models, specing out garments to prepare for fit, adding initial specs to tech packs, relaying necessary fit comments to our oversea and domestic vendors when needed
  • Communication and Collaboration:  Connecting with our international manufacturing partners to facilitate a smooth, efficient product development, cost and sample process, adhering to design calendar deadlines.
  • Strategy: Assist and support the senior team in building clear process, standards, SOP’s

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and support multiple areas of the product innovation development organization, from time and action, cost, to product execution, and quality.
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel, data manipulation, pivot tables, v look up, PLM, 3D
  • Proficient in PLM, 3D, adobe suite
  • Strong project management and multi tasking with critical attention to detail
  • Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated to work in a high energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross functional departments as well as external vendor partners
  • 2-3+ years experience in the fashion industry, lingerie or swim preferred
  • College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required
  • General understanding of apparel timelines, calendars, and development process, technical construction as well as a basic understanding of raw materials management
