Senior Yachting Manager

Overview

Act as the primary contact for Owners, Captains, and Crew for 24/7 support, maintaining regular communication to ensure client satisfaction. Experience in luxury yacht management is crucial, as is familiarity with vessels over 100 feet.

5 days onsite (visiting vessels as needed).


Responsibilities

- Set up new clients and implement documentation, standards, and protocols.
- Oversee vessel management software and Safety Management Systems on board.
- Manage vessel certification and paperwork.
- Assist in preparation for Flag State audits and ensure regulatory compliance (ISM/ISPS/MLC).
- Conduct regular audits for compliance and safety systems, inspecting vessel conditions.
- Facilitate handovers between Captains and Heads of Department.
- Collaborate with Yacht Account Manager on budgeting and invoice approvals.
- Provide technical consultancy during vessel surveys and shipyard periods.
- Review shipyard/marina agreements with insurance.
- Liaise with shipyards and vendors for contract negotiations and discounts.
- Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Captain or Chief Engineer required.
- Valid passport; willingness to travel internationally.
- Strong IT skills, proficient in Mac and Windows (Excel & Word).
- Availability outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with vessels over 110' is essential.
- Desired: STCW 11/2 (Master Unlimited) or STCW 111/2 (Chief Engineer Unlimited).
- Flexibility is crucial.
- Luxury yachting experience highly preferred.
- DPA designation preferred.
