Global Sr. Manager of Sales, Digital Native

A leading Software Company is seeking an experienced Global Senior Manager of Sales to lead and drive revenue growth within the Digital Native sector, focusing on SaaS, e-commerce, and technology-first businesses. In this role, you will own the sales strategy, close high-value opportunities, and play a key leadership role in building and managing a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in startup environments and excels in creating and executing sales plans to achieve aggressive revenue goals.

Location: Remote (Bay Area Preferred)

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Compensation: $145K - $185K Total Comp (Base + Commission)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market share within the Digital Native vertical.
  • Identify, target, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in digitally native companies.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting through deal closure, ensuring seamless handoff to customer success teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and engineering, to optimize go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage and mentor a small, high-performing sales team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Assist sales representatives with client meetings, presentations, and negotiations as needed.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, forecast meetings, and progress updates to drive accountability and results.
  • Analyze and report on sales performance, leveraging data-driven insights to refine processes and strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure software or SaaS sales.
  • 3+ years in a sales leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven success in a startup or lean, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and competitive positioning.
  • Strong understanding of data streaming systems like Kafka, Pulsar and / or event-driven architecture (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar or similar technologies).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
