Technical Operations Specialist
A leading entertainment/gaming company has an immediate need for an Operations Specialist to support their Global Network Operations Center (GNOC). Here you will leverage your systems and network expertise to proactively monitor and respond to incidents across a global network infrastructure. This role emphasizes rapid detection, triage, and mitigation of service-impacting issues while driving continuous improvements in service reliability through monitoring enhancements, documentation updates, and process refinements.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9am - 6pm
Pay: $33.65/hr - $40.86/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inbound communications from various streams to identify and track incidents proactively.
- Act as the first responder for issues, using your knowledge of systems, networks, and cloud technologies to triage and mitigate problems.
- Drive the resolution of player and user-impacting issues with a sense of urgency.
- Conduct routine follow-ups on active incidents to ensure timely progress and resolution.
- Process standard requests, including access management, ACL modifications, and system/network maintenance tasks.
- Adjust alert triggers to minimize false positives and improve signal-to-noise ratios.
- Manage engagement, documentation, and stakeholder communication during critical service outages.
- Review, refine, and enhance documentation, such as runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and process workflows.
- Build and foster collaborative relationships across teams and departments.

- Operating Systems: Linux (bash scripting, debugging, performance tuning).
- Networking: Packet loss analysis, routing, ACL management.
- Monitoring Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Datadog, CloudWatch, GCP Operations.
- Alert Correlation Platforms: BigPanda, ScienceLogic, Tivoli/Netcool.
- Cloud Services: AWS, GCP, OpenStack.
- Service Operations Frameworks: ITIL, incident/problem/event/change management methodologies.
- Logging Systems: Splunk, SysLog, ELK Stack.
- Version Control: GitHub Enterprise, Perforce, SVN.
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Argo, Spinnaker.
- Configuration Management: Puppet, Hiera, Terraform, Ansible, Consul.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh.
- Proxies and Load Balancing: Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy.
