VP of Sales & Merchandising
Our client, an apparel manufacturing brand, is seeking a VP of Sales & Merchandising to join their team in NYC. This individual will lead the sales, merchandising, and profitability strategy category across multiple fashion brands.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales and merchandising plan to drive revenue growth across multiple brands.
- Own and exceed annual sales targets for both retail and wholesale accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, ensuring continued business growth.
- Analyze category-specific trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Partner with design and production teams to align product assortment and sales strategies with brand goals.
- Oversee wholesale and retail account management, ensuring effective assortment planning and inventory optimization.
- Identify opportunities for new business development, securing partnerships and expanding the company’s market reach.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in apparel sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a leadership role.
- Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels, including executive and C-level leadership.
- Expertise in sales forecasting, merchandising strategies, and market analysis.
- Ability to drive the sales process from strategic planning to closing.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
$165,000-$185,000 commensurate of experience
