Our client, a brand specializing in luxury wedding attire, is looking for a professional and dependable temporary Buyer Rep specializing in Big Box stores to join their Fresno, CA team!
Responsibilities:
• Trend Analysis and Forecasting: Stay up to date on current and emerging fashion trends, analyzing customer buying patterns, and predicting future demand.
• Merchandise Selection: Choose products that align with the retailer's target market, brand image, and price point, considering factors like style, quality, and materials.
• Budget Management: Create and manage budgets for specific product categories, ensuring profitability and maximizing returns.
• Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating prices, terms, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales data, and make decisions about reordering and restocking to avoid stock outs or overstocking.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, merchandisers, marketing teams, and sales staff to ensure a cohesive approach to product planning and execution.
• Performance Analysis: Evaluate the success of product selections by analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and adjusting as needed.
• Attend Trade Shows and Fashion Events: Stay current on the latest trends and emerging designers.
Requirements:
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Experience working within the fashion industry.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and financial management.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
