As Recruiting Manager for both Career Group and Career Group Search, Catherine Drinker is a leader in high-touch client partnership and recruitment, specializing in curating the perfect partnership between top talent and leading firms across a variety of industries. Catherine’s high standards have allowed her to seamlessly match a high-volume of accounting and finance professionals (from entry-level to C-Suite) to opportunities that best align with their skillset and their long-term goals. At her core, Catherine prides herself on striving for “excellence” and changing the nature of the often transactional recruitment world.

Los Angeles born and raised, Catherine has deep roots in the Los Angeles market but attended Pennsylvania State University, with a network of leaders and top talent on the east coast as well. At Pennsylvania State University, Catherine studied Labor and Employment Relations with minors in Spanish and Business, which lends to her work each day as she partners and advises her clients on organizational strategy. Her love for people and business operations is what eventually led her to explore her recruitment, after spending a few years in Human Resources for companies across the Los Angeles area.

Since joining Career Group Companies in 2020, Catherine now leads the Career Group Search practice in Los Angeles and oversees/mentors a team in the San Francisco office, where she is able to mold and train eager Recruiters on the “CGC way” and what differentiates us as a firm.

Catherine’s dedication to doing the best work possible coupled with her knowledge of finance, accounting, operations, HR, and strategy, allows her to serve as an extensive of her clients’ internal teams. Whether she’s placing a CFO or a Staff Accountant, her goal remains the same: to represent unparalleled talent that strengthens firms and adds long-term value.
