Acquisition Analyst
Our client, a social impact investment management firm, is seeking a highly motivated Analyst or Associate to join their team. They are dedicated to investing in community-enriching infrastructure in underserved markets across the country. Their team is committed to driving positive social and economic change through innovative investment strategies. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly sophisticated impact investing platform at an early stage and play a pivotal role in shaping its trajectory. As an Analyst / Associate, you will work closely with senior leadership and play a critical role in evaluating investments, conducting financial analysis, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role offers the growth opportunity of a startup while being led by a seasoned team with a proven track record in investment management.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Underwriting:
- Conduct market research and feasibility analysis for potential investments.
- Prepare detailed investment summaries and present findings to senior leadership.
- Develop extensive financial models to analyze investment cash flows and assess risk/reward scenarios.
Financing & Deal Structuring:
- Assist in debt financing procurement and negotiate terms with potential lenders.
- Support the structuring and execution of investment transactions
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and manage relationships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to source new investment opportunities.
- Represent the firm in business development meetings and investor engagements.
Investor Relations & Reporting:
- Prepare quarterly investor reports and performance updates.
- Organize and contribute to materials for the Annual Investor Meeting.
Travel & Market Expansion:
- Travel to various U.S. regions for business development and investment due diligence.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- 1-5+ years of experience in investment banking, real estate, or other finance-related roles.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA a plus.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills (candidates will be required to complete a modeling case study).
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Soft Skills & Attributes:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and driven by a strong work ethic.
Industry Knowledge & Passion:
- Interest in community development, economic development, and social impact investing.
- Experience in real estate finance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with healthcare investment is a plus.
